Form text

Option Default
Form title “Protected Content”
Form description “This content is password protected. Please enter the password to continue.”
Submit button text “Submit”
Text below the form Empty. Basic HTML allowed.

Text below the form is the right place for “Need access? Email su*****@*****le.com” — it gives locked-out visitors somewhere to go instead of a dead end.

Theme asset isolation

Settings → Theme Assets on Password Protected Form controls whether your theme’s CSS and JavaScript load on the password screen.

Option Result
Default Loads only what the form needs. Fast, and immune to theme conflicts.
Include Theme Styles/Scripts Loads your theme’s assets so the form inherits its styling.

New installations use Default. Sites upgrading keep their previous behaviour so nothing changes unexpectedly.

Custom CSS (PRO)

You can style the lock screen beyond the provided customizer options. Go to Password Protected → Appearance and use the Custom CSS box to safely inject your own styles.
